Entrepreneur Bootcamp
The Urban Poverty Business Initiative (UPBI) is a collaboration among a growing set of universities and nonprofits designed to help entrepreneurs from low-income, disadvantaged, and otherwise adverse circumstances. Our purpose is to give you the tools you need to start and grow sustainable businesses of your own.
In local partnership with San Diego State University, UC San Diego, CSU San Marcos, Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Studies, and SCORE, cohorts start every September in South County and February in North County.

Extreme Heat Adaptation in Indigenous Communities
In collaboration with CCEEJ, Great Basin Tribal Alliance at the Desert Research Institute, Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals, Climate Science Alliance, and the Public Health Alliance of Southern California, the Collaborative of Native Nations for Climate Transformation and Stewardship (CNNCTS) held a three-part virtual panel series on Extreme Heat Adaptation in Indigenous Communities. Cross-Enrollment Courses
Available to students across participating California State University (CSU), University of California (UC), and California Community College (CCC) campuses, our curated listing of courses for cross-enrollment integrate Indigenous perspectives through expert guest speakers, curated readings, and hands-on activities. These courses provide students with a strong foundation in applied climate science and action with a place-based focus on California American Indian knowledges, histories, and experiences.
Please note: Not all courses are offered each semester or quarter.
